Looking for CARROLL and HARDY

Postby warmbells » Tue Aug 25, 2009 10:11 pm

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can shed some light on the ancestors of Michael CARROLL born 1838 in Manchester, Lancashire. The earliest trace we have of him is in 14 Barrack Street, Hulme, Manchester in the 1871 census. We also seem to have hit a brick wall with the name HARDY, the earliest we have is of William born 1819 and his wife Elizabeth born 1820 at 9 South Street, Salford, Lancashire in the 1851 census.

Thanks in anticipation
