Further to this I've found a rather odd entry in the Canadian deaths lists, info basically as follows:
Ontario, Canada Deaths
Place: 6 Farnham Ave, York, Toronto
Name: Hounsom, Margaret
Residence: Apt 1, Farnham Court, 6 Farnham Ave
Date of Death: July 9 1930
Cause: General arteriosclerosis, myocardial failure, Hypostatic pneumonia
Condition: Widow
Age: 79
Father: Albert Hounsom
Mother: Margaret Hartican
Informant: Miss L Hounsom, Farnham Court. Daughter
Place of Burial: Mount Pleasant
Date: July 10 30
This is obviously incorrect as Margaret Hartican would have been six when this Margaret, supposedly her daughter, was born. Was this actually Margaret Hartican and was the daughter who reported the death actually her daughter Lilian?
Or, might it be that this reports the death of Lilian Margaret and that the age was muddled with the year of her birth? Although the difference between a 79 year old and a 51 year old should have been obvious to the doctor signing the death certificate.
Can anyone find any evidence that Margaret and/or Lilian travelled to, and lived in, Canada?
Currently investigating the Hillmans of Sussex.
