Hi Jimmy,
Sorry i've not been on line recently - life got a little hectic!
Thanks for all your help, some of which I already had with the exception of Charles Ford (I knew one died but had no info so that was great thanks). Also the additional marriages of Edith and Ada which I will follow up and some other clues you gave - it was so good of you to help
I had already sourced the Somerset linkof Flo's parents and have been to the farmstead in Street etc - fascinating stuff.
The only area I can't get much information on is on my grandma
Florence Rood Ford, (my initial enquiry). I can't seem to find her on any electoral role from voting age onwards to her death in 1934, a year after my father was born. Her birth was 31.3.1904 and death 4.3.1934 - I already have these certificates. There seems to be limited information or no relevant year of records for some of the Islington area electoral roles I have already searched.
I am trying to find out who was living with her in
1932 and 1933 at
252 Kentish Town Road, St Pancras, this was the residential address shown on dads birth certificate. It would also be useful to know who was living at
31 Cumming Street, St. Pancras, where my father was born on
10.1.1933, (Arthur John Henry Ford) - it's not clear if this was a residential address or hospital?
She died at 199 Dartmouth Park Hill (Highgate Infirmary) and her residential address in
1934 shows as
17 Jeffreys Street, St Pancras - she was a waitress. If I could find the electoral role entries for these three addresses at these years I may be able to find a relative. Dad was born out of wedlock so we have a big blank page for his father's side...
Any help would be appreciated.
Many, many thanks.
Gabrielle
