COMPLETED - Elizabeth Boxall Macquarie

Postby SRD » Thu Mar 20, 2014 4:26 pm

I have an Elizabeth Boxall Macquarie, b.1859 to Olive & Donald, married 1899 to James Hillman.
I have the 1861 & 1871 census records but can't find the 1881 & 1891, can anyone help find them please?

Hi SRD

I may have found Elizabeth in the 1881 census.

There is a family with head David Lovegrove born 1812 living at 67 Crawley Road, Horsham, Sussex.
With them is an Elizabeth aged 20 born in London.
On Ancestry it has been transcribed as Macguire but on the image it looks like Macqurie.

Here's the link:

Hope this helps.

Hi again

If that Elizabeth is the right one I think she still lives with the Lovegrove family in 1891.
This time she is listed as Elizabeth Marquard born 1862 London on Ancestry but it looks like Macquard on the image.

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Thanks Lisa, that looks like her and it's in the area her husband to be came from.

Sory Mallosa, it might have been anywhere, her father came from Scotland, his family turn up all the way down from there to London and her future husband's family are Sussex based.
