COMPLETED - Info on Missionaries in Nigeria please

Postby SRD » Tue Feb 25, 2014 9:01 am

I have William G Muir b 15.9.1901 and his wife Louisa (née Graham) b. 7.5.98 returning to England from Nigeria on 29.8.58.
Can anyone find their outward jouney(s)?
Can anyone find any info on their missionary activities?
They married in 1925 in St Albans.
Did they have children?
Louisa was apparently born in Scotland, can anyone find that birth?
Louisa apparently died in 1982 registered in Solihull.
Has anyone any ideas in William's origins or death?

Thanks.

I could find plenty about missions in Nigeria but nothing mentioning him. Your best bet would be to try and find an obituary somewhere.

Thanks, I've tracked down their deaths, William in 1972 in North Pickenham in Norfolk. A London Gazette entry says he was a Clerk in Holy Orders so I'm waiting on a reply from the local church. The executors are his wife and a Francis Hedley Maynard who I am yet to find.
Louisa's death was registered in Solihull in 1982. It seems an odd place to go to retire.
