Archive - Eliza Ann Laker 1851.

Postby SRD » Mon Apr 22, 2013 9:41 am

I have an Eliza Ann Laker, b. 1820 to Rosman & Elizabeth James in Devonport (Stoke Damerel) Devon, married William Laker in 1843 (East Stonehouse, Devon). I have census records for 1861/71/81 and a death in 1883 but I can't find either Eliza or William in 1851. William was a seaman so may have been at sea (as he probably was in 1861). As far as I know there were no children.

Can anyone help please.

Scrub my last message, I miss read your post, did not realise you found Eliza death and it was 1851 you w ere looking for. A little tip, Its always best to try and use caps for surnames. female maiden names in brackets, that way its easier to read and see who is whom.
Hit a Brickwall? Have you lost all trace of someone? Do not despair, simply make a note they were abducted by aliens! Don't believe in aliens? No problem, just write them off as having disapeared in a time portal

Do you know the address where daughter Emily was born?
Was William John Laker 1845 to 1848 theirs? Born/died Stoke Damerel district

I don't have the Emily birth address.
I don't know about William John, there was another, related, Laker family in the district for a while.

I can't find the entry so it might as well be archived.
