Help please Looking for further info on Thomas Hooper 27.11.1818 born Oxfordshire
Married Dorcas Meadows 22.11.1841
I have him as a boatman at time of marriage
I have him on 1961 census in Aston
DOD before 1873 because Dorcas remarries
Believe his father is John hooper mother unsure

This says unmarried but Dorcas has wife of boatman.

Those Boatman got around and had children baptised all over the place, there are some Canal Lists you can join if you are stuck Mjay. Linell.

Is there any 1841 census available
trying to find his father etc on.

From others censuses it looks like children stayed with Dorcas

Thomas christened
22 Jul 1818 son of John & Elizabeth Hooper, Ox Street, Oxford, occ Boatman

Father John on 1841
Lower Kidlington, Oxfordshire, England
Living with his daughter - Mary Ashley, her husband & children.

And it looks like John, Thomas's father was born in Oxford too
