Hi
Heard something briefly on the Telly earlier about Records for Staffordshire that need indexing which have turned up from WW1. They were people's appeals against joining up and their reasons why they considered they be more use on teh home front. Anyone know anything about these? Sounded interesting.

Hi Carol,

Here's a few links with further information :

It seems from the Staffordshire article volunteers are being recruited in September to undertake transcribing the Staffordshire information online. It seems early days yet and no date given for completion. It will be a really useful tool to add to the available documents already open to us.

Regards
Adrian
