I have heaps of information on an Edward Gooulding born Smethwick in 1885 whose mother is Sarah living at Ladywood, Birmingham but his reigment is the Kings Royal Regiment, not the 11th Hussars.

I hope it is not him because he is the first one I have ever seen who was kicked out of the Army for misconduct.....

He is the only one I can find born in Smethwick but on his first census he parents (John Thomas Goulding and Sarah Elizabeth Holliday) say he was born in Hull, Yorkshire.

Is this him?

There are about 24 pages for him on Ancestry.

Two service records and one Pension record.

He was thrown out of the Army in 1915 as he was continually going AWOL.

I think he signed up again in 1915 after being booted out.
