Hi Valerie,

I'm afraid the service records for those that served in World War Two aren't available to view by the public because of the Data protection law and are only available to the next of kin (fee payable). The link given below explains fully how to obtain these records but if you go ahead and request them make sure you send all the requested information otherwise they'll return the application.

I found this:
Name: George Harvey
Rank: Driver
Regiment: Royal Army Service Corp
Unit: 308 Reserve. Motor Transport Company
Age: 23
Date of Death: Between 26/4/41 & 27/4/41

My Great Granddad's nephew Harry Hadley was also sadly killed during the Greece Campaign in April 1941 and if you type in the link below you will be able to find information about the Campaign where both of our relatives sadly lost their lives.

Kind regards
Adrian

Hi,

No worries but the only problem we have is that I can't find any other service records for any other Henry Harvey that could possibly match your chap.

Sadly 60% of the records were destroyed during the Blitz and it's possible Henrys were among those destroyed.

Kind regards
