Help please with any information to confirm that the newspaper article is relating to this James Thornton 1875 on bcc

Newspaper article on all brother which Sandra is posting for me, I'm unsure what newspaper it was, looks like 1916 though
However the description on James reads
The Eldest brother James Thornton was aged 41 last may. He is married and has a family of five children, who reside with their mother in Hall St Dudley Rd Tipton
He is an old soldier and was on the army reserve a fortnight when the South African war broke out.
He rejoined and went through that campaign without a scratch.
He rejoined the army soon after the outbreak of war in November 1914
Formerly with the Worcestershire, he is now attached to the Staffordshires.
Get has been engaged and us up to now fortunately un injured. He was employed at the Tipton Furnaces
Will post a look up in military to see if possible to connect

Enlisted 19th Sept' 1892
Regiment: 2nd Battalion Worcestershire no. 3343
Served: Home 19th Sept' 1892 - 4th Feb 1895. East India (Rangoon) 5th Feb 1895 - 24th Nov 1895. Malta 25th Nov 1895 - 8th Sept 1896. Home - 9th Sept 1896 - 14th Sept 1899. South Africa (Boer War) 17th Dec 1899 - 14th Sept 1902 Discharged.
Medals awarded: South African 1900 - 1902, Kings Medal, WITTEBERGEN - 1 July - 29 July 1900, CAPE COLONY – 11 October 1899 – 31 May 1902 & TRANSVAAL – 24 May 1900 and 31 May 1902. Checked via the 2nd Battalion Worcestershire Regiment's medal roll indexes.
Next of Kin: Mother Ross, Father James, Brothers Alfred, William & Joseph (Address Chapel St, Tipton).
Charactor: Poor & Indifferent (lots of charges against him).

Bernard, 1914 Tipton died 23rd April 1915 of measles (death certificate included service records)
Served previous: Worcestershire Regiment (time expired).
Enlisted: 15th Sept 1914.
Regiment: South Staffs 1st Battalion
Served: France 17th Dec 1914
Transfered: 22nd June 1917 Labour Corp
Medals awarded: 1915 Star, British & victory medals
Survived the war and demobbed in 1919.
