Hi Jimmy
Isn't it all the same apart from the extra number?
If you read the last post here http://www.worcestershireregiment.com/f ... php?t=1197 then it seems likely the battalion was renumbered, after 1916 perhaps.

Or did you mean look at his actual records?

Why was he discharged? Could it have been some army technicality in order to move him to an another regiment?
Where is our army expert when we need him?

OK, am looking at it now.

He was discharged after 35 days, suffering from an old fracture of his right arm, causing problems to his right hand.

Right, and then he seems to have re-enlisted in the Glouces Regiment. On image 3421 it gives his old regiment number and his new one. And then he seems to have gone on to serve orverseas and been promoted at some point. Lots of information there but hard to read some of it.

And on the previous image there seem to be some fitness category codes which vary a bit. And the first entry says he has old injury with loss of power in hand "...can carry on as such". Not sure if the first word there is a clerk of some sort?

Thanks Gardener, thats more than I could make out, I noticed his normal occupation was a printer, so would fit with him being in an administration post.

I noticed in his records it states he works at,
Tangyes Cornwall works, Smethwick.

It says on the following link that Richard Tangye was also incapacitated from further manual labour by a fracture of the right arm.
