Postby lincslady » Sun Feb 05, 2017 5:43 pm

I am looking for any military information linked to William Simpson Clark, born 1818 Moutlon Lincolnshire, 3 rd son of captain Matthew Clark.
I have some paper articles
1847 Royal South Lincoln Militia to be ensign ( not a clue what the means)
1853 ensign to be Lieutenant
1860 16Th Lincolnshire rifle volunteers, listed as captain

died London 1863 had a special train put on to bring his body back to Holbeach where he is buried

can seem to find out much more, any help would be great how small
Thanks
