My Mom used to say that as well powerj. Another one was "er's got a bell in every tooth and when 'er opens 'er mouth it rings" meaning "goodness me (that's posh) doesn't she talk loud"

I am amazed how many word there are on birmingham and blackcountry slang list I recognise and sometimesuse not knowing they are black country. Not lived there for forty years.
