Stantons Music Shop, Dudley

Postby BC Wench » Sun Mar 04, 2018 7:55 pm

I've just been reading an article in the Black Country Bugle 28 Feb 2018, page 2, regarding Stanton's Music Shop in Dudley.

The Black Country Museum plan to add a new street at the site as it would have looked during the 1940s to the 1960s. The Museum is appealing to the public for their memories of Stanton's Music Shop which stood on the corner at the bottom of Castle Street prior to 1960, before the redevelopment of the area in the 1960s.

You can get in touch on 0121 557 9643, email: [email protected] or write to Collections Team, Black Country Living Museum, Tipton Road, Dudley, West Midlands DY1 4SQ. More info at http://www.bclm.com/stantons.

I'm not old enough to remember the old building of Stantons :P , but spent many a happy hour in the new building listening to the records in the recording booths before you could buy the record.

I'm working on the Stanton family who started the business here on BCC
