Great places to visit too, more information than online, pictures, artifacts, maps, and the volunteers working in them know quite a bit too as they have lived in the area most if not for their whole life.

The following BBC link shows pictures and videos of a major local tradition in Rothwell that takes place every year - Rowell Fair. The whole town gets involved and as has been the tradition for many years, everyone joins in the festivities from 6am in the morning until they can no longer join in and have to retire home to bed :P
