Hope it would be a good idea for you to get into the habit of stating the year of the census detail that you are looking at and if possible the address (I don't know whether they give the latter on Family Search)

Just wondering because the family you have got have a father Thomas -- or have I got left behind on this one while I was at school?

If you are struggling Hope try making the info that you input less specific eg not putting Oldbury but be more general -- like Antie Em said think county rather than town -- Stafford or Worcester --

If that gives too many options remember his father's name is William -- have you found a page on family Search where it will let you put that in -- maybe that will narrow it down for you

OK - here's your homework

We have James Thomas Taylor in 1891 here : http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... lor-Family

So in 1891, we know he was born in Worcester, his marriage took place in 1882, so in 1881 he was probably living in Oldbury with his parents (father is William Taylor, probably a Farmer)

Can you find him in 1881. Another Gold star if you do :-)

I've had a really busy day - been to the pub for evening meal (with a couple of glasses of chablis) - so I'm having a really early night.

Talk in the morning - Maggie

That certainly ticks more boxes Hope --
father William occupation Dairyman close to farmer
James T Taylore born 1862 Worcester -- Question is Leith near to Malvern (google maps is the best way to check this)
Looks good to me ---

Looks like you got your GOLD STAR after all --we will need to wait for the morning to check this that Antie Em is happy too
