I am researching the name GREGORY in Derbyshire. I have found information from 1900 back to 1775. Since 1900 the main family was located in Manchester. Most common first names were; George, William, Martha. A one-off name that occured was Carver. Other surnames that connect through marriage include; BROOMHEAD, EYRE, FROGGATT, WARNER/WHEATLEY.
