Phone Calls to be suspicious of

Postby Northern Lass » Thu Dec 17, 2009 7:50 pm

I had a phone call yesterday from the police in London
yes they have finally caught up with me!

I won't go into detail about it other than a missing person.
Now I was rightly suspicious and as those of you that know me I go into excrutiating detail
and put him thru the ringer this PC...I wouldn't give him much info till I had verified the number, his badge no, his superior officer,
if he was single, rich....no I didn't ask that..but he sounded cute!

So having checked with my local police...he was genuine....

It got me thinking what if it had been a scam and I had been elderly..well ok I am elderley...not as old as Mally...or Rob! cos
that is like geriatric the Rob's age....bless!...but wot if I had told him this and that...not Rob ...the PC..
anyone can ask anything and those not as awkward as I would give details!

I gave him a few pointers too....well you don't do genealogy and not have an idea about missing persons!
Think he regretted phoning by the end...when I asked him his plans over xmas the phone went dead!

:o :(

But being serious it is a worry isn't it

I like it when they phone and you can mention that with tps there is a fine.....
