I thought that was the midday sun - aren't we supposed to remember we are like ducks and enjoy the rain?

Having said that yesterday wasn't rain it was a torrent so I don't think even the mad dogs would have ventured out!

What area are you in a5baggie. Not been good here, River Tees burst its banks, but has flood defence near us. No where nearly as bad to the West of the country. Poor people and the policeman and his family, died trying to help others.

One of the kids that come round has just waded through it!

garden a paddling pool but house ok as garden foot below the house plus clay under the lawn stopping it soaking away, good for the ducks though

The last hour it has eased off, just quick down pours at the moment.
The weather forecast classes us as Teesside, I think, never know where we are, Yorkshire or Durham!
It has been bad but the back garden has gone down a little from earlier. Where we live is nothing to do with the river Tees, we are higher from that, althougth it does affect us and the river Leven getting in and out.
Its just rained so much it has nowhere to go!
As i’m typing its got worse again

Do you have ducks there Peter? The ducks round here normally are in our garden but havent seen them for days. But they would have fun out the back!
Looking for a silver lining, havent had as many ciggies!
