We'll meet again...don't know where don't know when!

Postby Northern Lass » Tue May 05, 2020 8:26 pm

75 years

VE Day

I want so to do something but only got Wolvie to celebrate with
so perhaps on Friday 8th May we can all raise a glass...or two
and be grateful for the heroism and sacrifice of all those who lived through
the last war.

I will be baking a cake!
And watching the swallows...not exactly blue birds over...but they will suffice.

Going to do some baking tomorrow so the 3 of us can have afternoon tea.
Doubt anyone else in the street will be doing anything.

I just Google 'V E day buntings'. I can't remember which site it was though It has a template that you can print off. You can either colour it in or you can have a Union Flag in red white and blue

I'm hanging up a Union Jack towel I've had since way back when. I live on a small Close and some of us are sitting out at a social distance at 4 this afternoon and having a drink and nibbles.
For some reason our village has asked people to put scarecrows in the garden. None on our Close but plenty to look at during the daily exercise.
