Tribute to our friend Derek aka sparkstopper

Postby Northern Lass » Fri Sep 20, 2019 2:41 pm

Got some really really sad news today from Dereks family
That he had passed away recently.

I remember when Sparks joined bcc and all the marvellous research that he did
On his Weston line..he cracked a few brick walls along the way..we were stuck
On one line but he persevered and sorted it.

I remember thinking what a kind and gentle man he was, patient
And easy going.

He will be greatly missed and I hope you will join me here by remembering
Our Sparks ..Xx

Very sad to hear that news. Derek will always be remembered for his total commitment to the forum and putting Westons firmly in BCC rest in peace.

I too will miss Derek, my Blue Nose/Black Country friend. A real family man. We met up in September last year and had a lovely chat.
RIP Derek! My thoughts are with all of his family at this very sad time.
KRO Derek! xx

So sorry, he helped me on several occasions, cracking a couple of particularly difficult nuts.
