I didn't watch it but have seen some bits on catch up. Only because mjay had seen a really interesting treasure hunt that a family had there. Shame it wasn't BCC area...

Well I didn't see any people who I know. I thought that treasure hunt was really lovely. Strange how we pick out the treasure hunt from the show rather than the item that was valued over £1m. That's the genealogists in us :-)

Has anyone had a delve on this they have on rootschat and nothing is making any sense
I had a look too and I am in agreement with them...have a look guys will you see if you can get a handle on it...
was there a Catherine Short...I don't think it rings true...and the writing doesn't look right for 1928...maybe someone planted it later?

I also didn't think the handwriting was from that date either, looked too modern.

Yep that T on the beginning of one of the sentences was not 1928 style....Imho.
Too flowery.
1970's
and I don't think she would be Catherine L Short...she would have addressed herself as that in letter.
