WWII Films from the Far East

Postby SRD » Fri May 15, 2015 7:03 am

There was an item on the 'Today' programme this morning (sometime between 7.15 and 7.40) about films that were made in the Far East between VE day & VJ day containing personal messages from servicemen to their loved ones back home. Someone's digitising some of the remaining films and they're looking for survivors and their descendants. There's more about it at http://www.mmu.ac.uk/news/news-items/3537/
Currently investigating the Hillmans of Sussex.
