Hello Getting frustrated can u help 1881 census SELINA BRITTLE born Sedgley 1832 age 49 green grocer widowed
39 Hacket st ROWLEY REGIS this is the only record that she appears on that I have found.....39 Hacket st could have been a shop because the same census has my GG/father JOB MORRIS and his family living there Im trying to find if SELINA & JOB are related because on the 1841 census there was a Selina MORRIS but again can find any reference...If she is related would be another shoot on my family tree Regards sirrom

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

However, the only appropriate marriage that I can find is ...
BENJAMIN BRETTLE
Spouse: SELENA WORTON
Marriage: 15 AUG 1853 Saint Thomas, Dudley, Worcester, England

Did Selena have a previous marriage to a Whorton??? Maybe this is why I couldn't find her in 1851?

Hmmm ... then there's this:
IGI - Extracted
THOMAS MORRIS
Spouse: MARY WORTON
Marriage: 07 JUN 1836 Sedgley, Stafford, England

So maybe Selena's mum is the Worton/Whorton ?

Have we been here before? I suddenly had a strong Deja Vu sensation.

Yes! These folks are on BC here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tribe/browse?userid=bcconnections&view=0&pid=13981&rand=678241330

And

England & Wales Christening Records, 1530-1906 about Selena
Name: Selena
Gender: Female
Christening Date: 15 Mar 1832
Christening Place: Sedgley, Staffordshire, England
Mother's Name: Mary Worton

Note: Mother's name only given. I reckon this means either that Mary is an unmarried mum or that Selena's dad has died before her birth - not unlikely as many of the males in this family grouping seem to be coal miners.

I think this connects in the Morrises, by step relationship at least to the Brettells.
