Re: Leslie Rose- dob tbc- how does he link to the Roses?

Dad thinks the birth for Les Rose is a bit early and doesn't think he was much older than himself born 1926 but this was a bit vague

Mallosa,

I reckon that second one sounds most likely depite the middle initial G on the marriage
Age more as expected
Stourbridge fits wedding
Also Bate family have other links to Southall family so think this fits better all round

I wouldn't buy any certif till that marriage is looked up and get the fathers name.
Then you can find a marriage and that will confirm the mothers name too

Ok have done the look up so bringing the topic back.

Perhaps we can now find this George Rose the father on the Census?

Still a long shot though as so many George Roses. Although if Georges father is a fruiterer too?

Births Mar 1919 Rose Leslie G Farmer Dudley 6b 1194

1912
FARMER Florence ROSE George Rowley Regis, St Giles Sandwell Register Office 18/10/464

I think that is the correct couple

So if we could just find these 2 on the census with their parents......tricky?
might need that marriage looked up for fathers names.

lets see eh?

:?

Births Mar 1917

Found Florence Farmer on the census with Parents John and Eliza will post later....1891 she is born 1890 and living RR Terrace St!

Carol wrote:No nothing like that- realised I have a Les Rose on an old wedding family photograph and remembered it was one of your names. Dad said he had a brother and lived lived in Terrace Street

So wonder if George is living there too with parents!
