No nothing like that- realised I have a Les Rose on an old wedding family photograph and remembered it was one of your names. Dad said he had a brother and lived lived in Terrace Street

It appears there is also a Joan Rose. I think Joan was probably Les's wife . Not sure of date. I am guessiong photos are from 40's perhaps?
Terrace Street would be Black Heath Old Hill way .

Had to get this down before I forget because it is so confusing. Joan Rose is Dad's cousin nee Joan Bate. Joan is sister of Dad's cousin Joseph. Joan and Joseph were children of Lena and Joe Bate . Now this is where it gets really confusing. Lena Bate was Selina nee Tooth and she was sister of my grandma Henrietta Tooth. Two sisters married 2 brothers. Selina Tooth married Joe (Joseph ) Bate and Henrietta Tooth married John Thomas Bate.

Henrietta Tooth had a double wedding with sister Eliza May Tooth who married Luther Tibbetts on the same day.

Hi NL, I am guessing Joseph would be older as Joseph seems to be given to the eldest son most of the way down my tree. You have the right John Thomas to link up with. I have other sibblings for Grandad but no dates of birth for any of them. They would all be St Pauls Blackheath.

Found my list now. This is a list of brothers and sisters for Grandad John Thomas Bate-in order of age so far as I know.

Joseph-who married Lena
John Thomas who married Henrietta
Ben-died young at accident in Lenches
Alf married Lilly Green
Stan married Jane Rollason
Ted (Edward) married Louis-not sure of last name
Annie married Ted Tromans
Ethel who never married

Don't think I have dates of birth or marriage for any beside Stan which I think Mallosa helped me with a while back . May have got lost when old web site crashed unless I printed it off which I probably did.

as until I know other I have to treat them as living and block the info on Connections so only we can read it
so it is available to you on there Carol as an admin.
