So how weird would this be if it turns out that Robbies Maria Ruston with father Joseph Ruston(hopefully) he has a father joseph Ruston is the Joseph Ruston already on Connections here!!

So he links via Joseph Ruston b 1821 instead of William Ruston

Who for?
The one we have in 1881 b'hame road at no 64 for Jnr Joseph Ruston and 62 for Joseph snr makes good sense to me.
and the area is good.
Plus the occup of rivet maker fits for Marias father maybe meeting Marias future husband via that trade.
Plus no Maria with that Joseph.
and the area is all wrong.

Name: Eliza Jane
Sex: Girl
Name and Maiden surname of mother: Maria Ruston Factory Hand in Rowley.
When registered: Twentyfourth of June 1897.

that is a good result!
So Maria is yours!
But father is still unclear...to be honest I dont think you will find that one!
She may well have put Joseph William Rushton/Ruston down merely out of respectability!
And the fact he is not on the birth cert speaks volumes to me.

So I can look up that entry she probably went to the workhouse to have the baby so there may be more info....I will stick it on the list!

I am struggling placing a marriage for Joseph Ruston and a Jane unknown.
I think that Joseph is b abt 1821 and may be son of Daniel. But not too sure here...

Jane is b abt 1826 so who is she?
Where is the marriage?

On the 1861 census there is a mother for Joseph ruston living with them age 69 b 1792
I wondered if this might be the wife of Daniel Ruston- Mary Whital b 1793 a Daniel dies sept qtr 1861- but that could be when it was registered ie he died pre census....April? and then regis July Aug Sept as that Mary is widow on 1861 census
so need to find Daniel and Mary on 1861 to eliminate

so think Wm in 1823 must have died?

Ok via that Marriage of Joseph and Jane and pending a look up to confirm father is Daniel I have had more info from a source that prior to his marriage to Jane Joseph was living at club buildings.
So it has to be father Daniel I am certain of the connection.

So have joined up the tree!
