*Completed* -Daniel Tromans b ?

Postby Northern Lass » Mon Nov 17, 2008 12:10 pm

Ok got a bit of a puzzle here...so super sleuths....get yer grey cells dusted off!

I did a look up at the archives on a Daniel Tromans/Trowmans who married a Sarah Rollason. I thought he might have had a connection with the Daniel we talked about before with father David...anyway I digress...zzzzzzzzz

So this Daniel his father is an Isaac Trowmans a gun barrel welder.
The marriage is 1847 St Edmunds Dudley.

Daniel Trowmans is full age and a widower
Sarah Rollason is full age.

So I thought it would be the father Isaac TRomans b 1779 married to Rosannah Homer
They have a Daniel( he is down as having parents isaac and Susannah on IGI but I have looked up the bapt in 1809 at Cradley park lane and it is deffo Rosannah!).
But this Isaac on the 1841 is a Jews harp maker and as on the marriage this Isaac father is a gun barrel welder ...I am not sure one and the same.

The dob for Daniel b 1809 would be good for being a widower at his 2nd marriage in 1847
and Isaac is not down as deceased in 1847
think Isaac dies 1849 not too sure.

So I need to know
is this Daniel that marries Sarah Rolinson the Daniel with father Isaac on Connections here!

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections

So many Tromans!

Can we find this Daniel on the 1851 with a Sarah to confirm his dob?
Can we find this Daniel of Issac and Rosannah b 1809 on the 1841 and 1851...

:?

ps witnesses at marriage are George Tandy and Lydia Tandy!

this is confusing...

on Connections we have a David Tromans and Martha Rollason they have a Daniel and Lydia.

:?

ok it is this one....

1845
TANDY George ROLLASON Lydia Dudley, St Thomas Dudley Register Office 204/006/365

so poss a sister to Sarah

but I think they link to that Martha Rollason that marries David Tromans as they call their dau Lydia too

It is a mistake yes on IGI!
they havent read it properly!
I actually looked at the actual entry at the archives and it is definately Rosannah and so whoever on the IGI noted it they have it wrong

So I cant add this Daniel until I know where to stick him!

Here is the marriage info!

11 May 1847 St Edmunds Dudley
-Daniel Tromans - full age - widower- labourer- Dudley- Isaac TRomans gun barrel welder<br>
-Sarah Rolinson - of full age- spinster- Dudley - Daniel Rolinson- deceased
banns
X of both
Wit - X George TAndy and Lydia TAndy

Can we find this Daniel on the 1851 with a Sarah to confirm his dob?
Can we find this Daniel of Issac and Rosannah b 1809 on the 1841 and 1851...

I'm sure the following is of some significance here, but I'm blowed if I can work out how - too tired.

1861
Cradley Road, Rowley Regis
James TROMAN Head Widr 60 Chainmaker b. Rowley Regis
Phebe TROMAN Daur 12 Trace Maker b. Rowley Regis
Benjamin TROMAN Son 10 Blower for Chain maker b. Worcs., Cradley
Esther TROMAN Daur 8 b. Worcs., Cradley
James TROMAN Son 7 b. Worcs., Cradley
Benjamin TROMAN Father Widr 80 Chainmaker b. Rowley Regis

Next door:
Daniel TROMAN Head Widr 50 Chain Maker b. Worcs., Dudley
Catura TROMAN Daur 13 b. Rowley Regis
Mira TROMAN Daur 10 b. Rowley Regis
David TROMAN Son 7 b. Rowley Regis
John ROLASON Son-in-law 16 ChainMaker b. Worcs., Dudley

1851
Spinners End
Daniel Tromans Head 40 Chain Maker b. Rowley Regis
Sarah Tromans Wife 30 b. Rowley Regis
Jesse Tromans Son 21 Chain Maker b. Rowley Regis
Ann M Tromans Daur 15 Chain Maker b. Rowley Regis
Susanna Tromans Daur 12 Chain Maker b. Rowley Regis
John Tromans Son 9 Chain Maker b. Rowley Regis
Katurah Tromans Daur 2 b. Rowley Regis
Maria Tromans Daur 2 Mo b. Rowley Regis
(If this is Sarah’s correct age, she has to be a second wife - too young to have a son aged 21)

1841
Four Ways, Rowley Regis
Daniel Tromans 30 Coal Miner Not born in Staffs.
Nancy Tromans 35 born in Staffs.
Rosehanah Tromans 12 born in Staffs.
Jesse Tromans 10 Chain M. born in Staffs.
Matilda Tromans 4 born in Staffs.
Susan Tromans 2 born in Staffs.

Looks like Daniel’s first wife was Nancy who died and then he married Sarah (ROLASON?) before 1851, who also died before 1861. I have a Daniel TRUEMAN b. 1807 Rowley Regis who married Sarah PARKES in 1864. I wonder ... is it possible that this is yet a third wife for the same Daniel?

Hi Di

I was wondering that too!

We have 2 Daniels one has parents Isaac Tromans and Rosannah homer and is here...

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections

the other has Parents David Tromans and Martha Rollason and is here.....

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections

now this one with parents David and Martha is the one linked to Sarah Willetts ( nee Parkes)
So that really needs confirming that on that 1864 marriage father is David and not Isaac.

So the one Daniel marries Nancy and then Sarah Rolinson( spelt like that on entry) and then is he the one that marries Sarah Willetts ( nee Parkes) ???

note the name Rosannah for his kids too!
I am convinced that it is the Isaac on connections up to his second marriage and maybe we just have 2 Daniels with parents as above

This gets more confusing!!

We seem to have 2 Daniels married to a Nancy.

one is b abt 1805
other abt 1811
so the bapts sort of fit ie 1805 for Danl with parents David and Martha
and 1809 for Danl parents Isaac and Rosannah.

1851
66 Boston, Rowley
Daniel Tromans 45 - Carter
Nancy Tromans 60 - Carters wife

Living next door
John Tromans 23
Joseph Tromans 59
Sarah Tromans 62

1861
At Rowley Village,
Daniel Tromans Head 57 Carter/Ag Labourer
Nancy Tromans Wife 68
both born Rowley Regis

Nancy dies ....poss death
Deaths Mar 1864
TROMANS Nancy Dudley 6c 14

then that marriage in 1864 is October 1864 so possible as we have on Connections that this Daniel is son of David and Martha and marries Sarah Willetts nee Parkes

I am going to go with the tree as this David with parents David and Martha

and

the other Danl who marries a Nancy and then a Sarah(Rollason) as having parents Isaac and Rosannah.

I can look up that st giles to cf that his parents are David and Martha.

what do we think?

hopefully one with a Sarah ( Danl b abt 1805) and the other still a widow (Danl b abt 1811 with one of these kids -1861 Next door:
Daniel TROMAN Head Widr 50 Chain Maker b. Worcs., Dudley
Catura TROMAN Daur 13 b. Rowley Regis
Mira TROMAN Daur 10 b. Rowley Regis
David TROMAN Son 7 b. Rowley Regis
John ROLASON Son-in-law 16 ChainMaker b. Worcs., Dudley)

Your reasoning looks pretty sound to me NL. I can't find Daniel widower in 1871.
Gun Barrel welder to Jew's Harp Maker is not too far a stretch - both fine metal work.

I found what looks like Daniel's son, David in '71:

1871 - (Looks like) Ivey St., Rowley Regis
Benjamin Perry 21 Miner b. Staffs., Rowley Regis (b. 1850)
Myra Perry 21 Chain Maker b. Staffs., Rowley Regis
David Tromans brother-in-law Marr. 17 Chain Maker b. Staffs., Rowley Regis
Daniel Tromans brother-in-law 13 Chain Maker b. Staffs., Rowley Regis

But, the only appropriate marriage that I can see for Ben & Myra is:
Benjamin Perry to Mira BARKER 1871????
