Very many thanks, NL, for all of this info about the Jeavons. I never realized it was from juvenis - amazing! I've got some of my own, I know there are loads in the Black Country, it's a real "local name", but I wonder if anybody has any links with any of these or can add / correct (especially correct!...) anything?

In 1841 census "Fireman" living with wife and children in New Street, Stourbridge, aged 45. "Tin Plate Worker (Journeyman)" in 1851 census living at 25 Spring Terrace., Old Swinford, Stourbridge, Worcs. Possibly "Ironmonger" 37 High Street, Kinver in 1861 census.

In the same household grandson William Woodward, "baker assistant, aged 16", born 1865. "Retired Baker Bread Maker" in 1901 aged 78, living in West Bromwich with son George Frederick.

Also Elizabeth Humpries, "servant domestic", b. Tipton aged 16 in household. "Master baker" of High Street, Smethwick in his daughter Clara's birth certificate, 1861. "Confectioner, deceased" in her marriage certificate of March 1880.
