hmmm not convinced about those bapts at halesowen but will put them in the notes on John Hadley.
Other kids are bapt RRegis.
Will add the marriage to notes too.

W1855
HADLEY Solomon TRUMAN Frances Oldbury, Christ Church Sandwell Register Office 12/1/416

could this be the marriage linking to tromans can anyone see these 2 on earlier census eg 1851 as this marriage is really late for Solomon b 1818

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... d=87020525

in 1901 we have in Halesowen st Gadds and Adams all living near each other -so think that is cousins of each other ie thomas gadd and wife alice Unknown. and Noah and Samuel

Nice one Di!

that pretty much makes Solomon the father of Ezra but is Fanny the mother...we need that 1851 census or an earlier marriage...
:?

is Fanny a Tromans by marriage or birth if it is a Tromans that our Solomon married- seems to fit with marriage in 1855 and a kid in 1857 if no more kids on that 1861..they could have left home I suppose :?

Just to complicate things further ...

There's this string of obviously related Hadleys at Halesowen in 1851. All living in a row in the same street. Note Solomon - Is this the one we have been looking for in 1851??? Is there a link here between these earlier Hadleys at Halesowen and the later group that we have been chasing?

1851 - Titford Lane, Cakemore, Halesowen

William Lowe Head of family 35 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen
Phebe Lowe Wife 34 Nail Forger b. Staffs., Rowley Regis
Sarahann Lowe Daur 14 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen
Elizabeth Mary Hadley Visitor 21 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen

John Hadley Head of family Widower 46 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen

Harriet Hadley Daur 12 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen
Isaca Hadley Son 9 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen
Thomas Hadley Son 7 b. Worcs., Hales Owen
William Hadley Son 2 b. Worcs., Hales Owen
John Hadley Son 1 mo b. Worcs., Hales Owen

William Hadley Head of family 44 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen
Sarah Hadley Wife 44 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen
Samuel Hadley Son 20 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen
Mary Hadley Daur 18 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen
William Hadley Son 16 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen

Then 2 dwellings, then:
Joseph Hadley Head of family 28 Nail Maker b. Worcs., Hales Owen
Phebe Hadley Wife 30 Nail Maker b. Worcs., Hales Owen
Hannah Hadley Daur 11 Nail Maker b. Worcs., Hales Owen
Phebe Hadley Daur 3 b. Worcs., Hales Owen

Ann Willetts Wife 59 Nail Forger b. Staffs., Rowley Regis
Benjamin Hadley Lodger 22 Labourer b. Worcs., Warley Wigan
Sarah Whitehouse Lodger 18 Nail Forger b. Worcs., Hales Owen

I included the last entry because it's in the string and because of the Hadley/Willetts link. (Couldn't resist it    )

Ok I am confused with this one and need help before it goes on Connections please....

I have done this marriage look up for Solomon Hadley and Hannah Taylor and I think that it is the one that FS found in 1851 Census a nailer.
I think she must die and then he is in 1861 with a Fanny Truemans? But he is then a GRocer!

So what do we think....

Marriage info
St johns Halesowen- 1848 1 May
-Solomon Hadley- of full age- bach- nailer- Hill- John Hadley- Nailer.
-Hannah Taylor- of full age - widow- Hill- Ebenezer Windsor
-banns
-X of both
-Wit- Charles Henry Neale and Elizabeth Neale

1851
28
Blackheath, Rowley
Hanah Hadly 28
Solomon Hadly 33 - Nail(er) Toolmaker
both born Rowley

and here is the link..
