Done the marriage look up for Joseph Rose and Etta johnson.....here....

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =112363886

not sure which Joseph Rose it is for Joseph b abt 1864 be good to see if we can connect with any already on Connections....

Di wrote this..."As a result of a contact via GenesReunited, I've been chasing up 2 Joseph ROSEs, both born about 1865, Rowley Regis.

I think they are cousins. One has parents Moses and Maria (on BCC). The others parents are Joseph and Mary (I think Joseph ROSE and Mary WESTWOOD on BCC).

One married an Agnes, and one married an 'Etta' (Henrietta perhaps?).

But which is which?
"

Ok I was going to join these up Di but I am unsure..... on the marriage of Joseph and Etta Josephs father is a lime merchant and yet on the 1881 census Joseph hubby of Mary westwood is here....a farmer.....
but on the plus side.... Joseph the son is a carter and on marr cert that joseph is a carter too..... :?

have we got a few too many Josephs b 1864!/65
or have we a connection ???

NL! I went back and had a good look at the original image of the 1881 census and now it is quite obvious that the occupation that I couldn't decipher for Joseph snr is "Farmer and Lime Master"!!! Probably has a Lime quarry on his farm?

I think I'm happy that the Joseph Rose who married Etta Johnson is the son of Joseph Rose and Mary Westwood.

Join 'em up, NL!

Nah, Pete. Looking at the original image, it definately isn't "Swine Master" - not enough squiggles, and he writes his 'S's differently.

And peterd, I think I've worked out the Dingley/Johnson relationships. I'll stick my thoughts up on a separate thread. See if you think I've got it right.
