Ok think what Juba is now after guys is some idea on George Dyson b abt 1803 Rowley Regis. His parents.

1851 census says George b Rowley regis. Do the other census with him on support this?

need to confirm who he married was it Mary bennett in 1825 B'ham?

So can we get a handle on exactly where George is born and where mary is born and the exact year and maybe find parents.

Also Ann what happended to her .....possible marriage to a Joseph Field in 1854 ???

:?

Hi all, I have a couple of Dysons on my tree.
Maria Eliza Dyson m. John Yates of Cakemore at St Martin's B'ham 30 June 1828. She was b. Oldbury, 1807. Her Mother was also Maria(h) b. Warwickshire about 1780. I don't have any info on the father.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I have had a really hectic week - sorry for not getting back to you before.

So many suggestions - I will try to follow up on them and let you know. But don't hold your breath as I have very little spare time to do family history these days. I joined because Jan posted a note on a family history list about the tree and I found a DYSON there.

The Charles DYSON with family including FOSTER and a george is interesting but I have no idea whether they will fit anywhere. But Charles was a later family name - one of my grandmother's brothers was a Charles as was his eldest son. Still it's not an unusual name so mustn't read too much into that. Though his youngest son was George so he may well have followed naming patterns. That said - he didn't name any of his sons after his own father or grandfather ....

The Dyson family site is not one I had come across believe it or not - so I have bookmarked it to read at leisure (what leisure!!) - so thanks for that too. I have checked out the George b 1803 on that site and he is definitely mine - I recognise all his descendents and knew some of them!! I shall email the site owner and see if he has any other connections.

Thanks again
juba
