So Laura’s father was William Payne.
BUT Laura may not have been the mother of Annie Adams. It looks as if Laura could have been Samuel’s 2nd wife and his 1st wife, Sarah, was Annie’s mum. See below ... Unless the enumerator got Laura’s name wrong in 1861.
