Need to check the Parish Register, it looks as though John and Nancy are a different couple to John and Anne, the ages aren't the same. I can only find one Edward though born about 1781, he is in Islington on the 1851 Census:-

Edward Franklin Head M 71 Nailer Halesowen
Anne Wife 68 Halesowen

No trace in 1861, so he probably did die in 1858.

Will have a better search. Linell.

Have been through the Halesowen Register, and am pretty sure that John and Nancy and John and Ann are the same couple. Marriage was John Franklin and Nancy Hewitt 10.7.1773 bach and spinster of the Parish, Witnesses were Joseph Chandler and Thomas Bissell.

1774 Bap Mary d of John and Nanny Franklin (note Nanny not Nancy)
1776 Bap John son of John and Ann Franklin
1777 Burial John Franklin
1778 Bap Nancy d of John and Ann Franklin
1781 Bap Edward son of John and Ann Franklin
1783 Bap James son of John and Ann Franklin
1788 Bap John P son of John and Ann Franklin
1794 Bap William Thomas son of John and Nancy Franklin

It looks as though Kim's Tribal and our BCC have some of the children missing.

Will wait to hear from you, Linell.

There is only one Franklin entry before 1773, a Marriage in 1754 for Sarah Franklin to a Bolton. It doesn't look as though John's family were in the Parish before the Marriage in 1773. No bap at Halesowen for Nancy or Ann Hewitt.

thank you lin for looking at all that

is there any chance you could connect up and add what we don't have based on the info you have
John and Ann are on so change the name as you feel fit to Nancy
and connect up to the Ann or Nancy franklin that married James rudge
again is she a Nancy via bapt? as she is ann franklin on marriage
