SHOCKING DEATH OF A CHILD
On Wednesday evening a little boy named William Atkins Spittle ,son of Mr Moses Spittle, nail manufacturer, Waddams Pool, died from the effects of a wound in the head. On the previous Monday afternoon the little fellow was playing with his sisters in his fathers sitting room having at the time a small table knife in his hand, He fell from the sofa ,and the blade entered between the right eye and the nose to the depth of two inches. The child appeared very likely to recover until Tuesday afternoon when he became delirious and gradually sank and died.
