Great thanks for all the info. I see that Amos bn 1896 admitted later to being 16 when he married Sarah Chatten, whereas at the marriage he said he was 19.
It is interesting to see what happen to Amos, the grandson of my 2xg grandfather William Barker, who was cousin to my grandfather. I wonder whether my grand father knew that some of his cousins had emigrated to America - may be not as he would have been in Barnsley South Yorkshire by the time Amos and Jesse Barker and their wife/ future wife emigrated.
