I should add regarding William BARKER, I ordered birth certificates for the following GRO entries for William Barkers born 1840+/- 2 years in the Dudley Union or Stourbridge union RD and none had a father called James BARKER (On Williams marriage certificate I emailed yesterday, James BARKER is mentioned as the father, Sarah Ann BAKER the bride):

1) GRO Reference: 1840 J Quarter in DUDLEY UNION Volume 18 Page 330, mother's maiden name GUEST
The birth certificate for this William born 10 Apr 1840 shows a father named Joseph Barker, Miner, Mother Sarah Barker formerly Guest resident at Puppy Green, Tipton

2) GRO Reference: 1841 J Quarter in STOURBRIDGE UNION Volume 18 Page 466, mother's maiden name ATTWOOD
The birth certificate for this William born 3 May 1841 shows a father named Zachariah Barker Miner, with mother Hannah Barker formerly Attwood resident at Commonside, Kingswinford district

So I've dismissed these as my William Barker.

BTW I think the William BARKER GRO Reference: 1838 S Quarter in CLEOBURY MORTIMER Volume 18 Page 36, mothers maiden name BLOUT, is the cousin of my William and the son of Thomas BARKER, the uncle and blacksmith who my William was living with on the 1861 census on Kingswinford High str

I agree with the Christening info for William, but I also see 30 Sep 1838 for James with father James Barker and mother Elizabeth at St Mary's Kingswinford.

By the time she was married to James BARKER she was calling herself Florence Margaret BAKER, details on their marriage certificate are:
Married on 6 August 1893 at Christ Church in the Parish of Quarry Bank in the county of Stafford, after banns
James Barker, 22, Bachelor, Miller, res. at Brockmore, father William Barker, Postman
Florence Margaret Baker, 21, Spinster, Glass Painter, res. at Brockmore, father Thomas Baker deceased, miner.
Witnesses: Charles Edward Woodhouse and Alice Windsor
Both sighed their name

We have her twice on BCC ...

yes I agree we do have her on twice. The GRO has her as Margaret Baker (not Florence Margaret) so I assume we go with that name.
Yes I agree her details are confusing, it took some effort to track her.
