Hi folks, I'm back from my travels :P In 1841 in Belper the family - if I have the right one, the usual caveat! - is as follows:

Saml Allen 50
John Allen 15
William Allen 12
Samuel Allen 10
Charlotte Allen 8
Eliza Allen 5

There are two marriage dates entered by members of the LDS church, one between Samuel Allen and Charlotte Cooper in about 1815, the other in about 1824, both in Belper, Derbyshire. There's a daughter named Charlotte in 1841. But as you say, Jimmy, the wife's name is given as Rosanna at the 1828 christening of a William Allen in Belper. I wish my geography were better, I don't know the area and there might be candidates in other locations.

1851 to 1901 he puts birth place as Belper, Derbyshire.
1851. age 21.
1861. age 30.
1871. age 40.
1881. age 50.
1891. age 62.
1901. age 72.

And the death reg that fits is,

Deaths Mar 1906.
ALLEN William, 76, Dudley. 6c. 5.

I am confused now

So we have a William Allen who may have a father John or Samuel
he is born Belper around 1828 ish

and if father is Samuel we dont know if mother is Rosannah or Charlotte?

and what about this one then...
JOHN ALLEN
Christening: 23 NOV 1821 Belper, Derby,
Parents:
Father: SAML. ALLEN
Mother: ELIZH.
Extracted
