*Arch * -Tromans/Parsons/Fielding/Parkes Connection

Postby mumbles » Sat Feb 07, 2009 10:01 am

FarSide has a Martha Parsons born 1813 married to a William Fielding and children Henry Fielding b.1840, Mary b.1843 John born 1846 and Edith born 1850
I have same family but with slightly different names for children :-
Mary is Mary Ann, John Is Samuel John, and Edith is Ada Priscilla
I also have their spouses and children and descendants and a lot more details.
If one follows below I believe my names are correct and there are also some links to Tromans and Parkes that I have not been able to find more about. I also cannot find Hannah Parsons dau of Phineas Parsons but he did have a daughter Anna of same age so possibly same one. Isabella is also not on my Parsons records but she must have been a daughter of one of Phineas's brothers
1841 Census
West Bromwich Union, Lambeths End
John Fielding 40
Henry Fielding 15
Redilian ( or Kedilian) Fielding 10 ( Female)
Martha Fielding 25
William Fielding 25
Henry Fielding 5mths
All Staffs.

Ages tie up but location does not

1851 Census
Furnace Hill House Hawn, Halesowen, Worcs.
Thomas Parsons Head Widow 67 Nailer
Hannah Parsons Dau U 42 Nailer
Isabella Parsons Dau U 6
Martha Fielden Dau Wid. 38 Housekeeper
Henry Fielden Son U 10
Mary Fielden Dau U 8
Ede Fielden Dau U 1
All born Halesowen

Thomas is quite clearly Phineas on original and other relationships are incorrect.
On 1861 Census Phineas and Isabella are living alone together and she is noted as Grandaughter

1861 Census
Whitehall , Halesowen
Thomas Plant Head M 37 Nailer
Martha Plant Wife M 47 Nailer
Henry Fielding Son U 20
Mary A. Fielding Dau U 18
Samuel J. Fielding Son U 16
Ada Fielding Dau U 11
All born Halesowen

Note:- William Fielding died 1849 New Hawne Colliery Halesowen on 13/11/1849 ( possibly a Mine accident) and Martha married Thomas Plant in St Lukes Cradley Heath ( Sandwell Reg. 20/1/77)
Martha died in 1878 Stourbridge Sept.Q 6c 91

1871 Census
Hawn, Halesowen
William Tromans Head Wid. 35 Born Hawn
Jaston Tromans Son U 11 Ditto
Phoebe Tromans Dau U 8 Ditto
Isabella Parsons Niece U 26 Ditto
John Parkes Step-son U 16 Ditto

Also on 1861 Census living next door to Phineas Parsons and Isabella Parsons:-
Furnace , Hawn, Worcs.
William Tramans Head M Nail Maker
Ann Selina Tramans Wife M 39 Nail Maker
Joseph Parkes Son-in-law M U 20 Spade Maker
Sarah Ann Parkes Dau In Law U 18 Nail Maker
John Parkes son-in-law U 6 Scholar
Jason Tromans son U 1 B. Oldbury

relationships are obviously wrong

Ann Parkes married William Tromans Cradley Heath St. Lukes 1859 ( Sandwell reg. 20/1/1010(
All Rest born Furnace Worcs.

Hi mumbles you need more info you mean?
or you need me to manually link something on the Connections site
if you do then send me an email and I will sort that.

If you need more info what exactly are we after as I have lost the plot on this

Nl,
Obviously from info I have submitted there is a link between Parkes/Parsons and Tromans families but I cannot find connection as no Tromans or Parkes already on site to link up to.Also Isabella Parsons is Grandaughter of Phineas Parsons and Niece of William Tromans. Link between Parkes and Tromans appears to be that Ann Parkes Widow married William Tromans.

Plot thickens as Ann Tromans (nee Parkes) died and William Tromans married again in 1875 to an Hannah Price Halesowen St. John Stourbridge vol.6c page 324
1881 Census:-
Bloomfield St. Hawne
Wiliam Tromans 45 Nail Forger b. Halesowen
Hannah Tromans 51 b. Clent Worcs.
Jason Tromans son 21 Nail Forger b. Halesowen

1891 Census shows same three persons but at Beech St. Hawne and Hannah still 51
I cannot find link to other Tromans or Parkes on bcc so will insert what I have for now

Do you want that marriage looked up Mumbles at St lukes for William Tromans and Ann Parkes
how do you know she is a widow?

It might give us her fathers name ...
was she an Ann Parsons?
and do we think this Ann is perhaps Hannah Parsons?
Sorry bit lost on this one.

So Isabella is maybe the key?
Who does she belong to
she is G.dau to Phineas
and niece to either William tromans or Ann Parkes?

Nl,
I have cracked the Tromans link as on 1851 Census William is shown as son of Jason & Ann Tromans ( already on bcc)
On bcc William is shown as William Alexander Tromans.
On rest of page on Census various Parsons are living in same street including Phineas aged 67 & Isabella Parsons aged 6 and of course Ann Parkes.
I will insert all additional Tromans and make link to Jason.
Isabella is weird one as I cannot find her on Parsons records and she is noted as Neice of William Tromans and Grandaughter of Phineas

Nl,
Tracked this on 1841 Census at Furnace:-
Phinaha Parson 55
Sarah Parson 55
Hannah Parson 30
Mary Parson 15
Phiarubus Parson 14
Emma Parson 7
Sophia Parson 4
Samuel Durham 20
Phebe Durham 20
Thomas Parkes 20
Ann Parkes 15
Joseph Parkes 10 Mo
This would suggest that Ann was possibly a Parsons before marriage to Thomas and in 1851 was noted as a widow still in same house as Phineas Parsons and then she married William Tromans
