Grandad Bob used to work at the Birmid, he was a master moulder and he used to cast Merlin engines during the second world war.

The Birmid!!
When i left school i worked for Atack Bros electric contractors and i worked at The Birmid for 2 weeks doing electrical maintenance.
My memories are of how dirty and dusty it was there and how massive the place was.
Just a thought!!
