peterd/Jan/Holly,
When browsing my Parsons data base I found the some odd info on Jeavons/Fellows surname which you recently researched.
This may answer some of the questions raised.
a) Elizabeth who married John Jeavons ( born 1779 and christened 14/3/1779 Dudley ,died 1850) was previously married to a Joseph Fellows ( born 1770 RR) and they were married at Clent on 17/9/1787. Elizabeth was born Elizabeth Parsons in 1770 Kingswinford and christened 27/5/1770 the daughter of William Parsons born 1738 RR and Betty Willetts born 1738 RR ( already on RR). They had children as follows:-
Mary Fellows christened 9/11/1788 Cradley Worcs.( married to a David Franks),Nancy Fellows c. 28/5/1790 Cradley Worcs.( married a Roland Oakley), John Fellows c. 15/7/1792 Cradley Worcs.( married a Sarah Round), William Fellows c. 10/12/1795 Cradley Worcs.( married a Elizabeth Purley).
Elizabeth then married John Jeavons and had children as follows ( recorded as Jeavons Fellows on Parsons records and sometimes as this on some bcc notes but on main record as Jeavons.:-
Joseph Jeavons Fellows c.1/6/1800 St. Thomas Dudley and buried 18/10/1801 St. Giles,James Jeavons Fellows c.24/4/1803 married a Ruth Westwood on 25/12/1821 ( James died Dec.1828 and Ruth died 22/7/1827)., James also appears to have married an Ann Turner b. 1803 on 12/10/1828 . , Andrew Jeavons Fellows c.1/4/1805 died 7/11/1849 married a Hannah Trowmans on 10/9/1826 St. Thomas. Hannah died 1890 and appears to have had another marriage to a Phillip Hobbis ( before or after marriage to Andrew ?) , Daniel Jeavons Fellows c. 5/11/1809 buried 11/2/1890 married a Selina Hackett on 14/9/1828 Kingswinford ( Selina was christened 16/3/1811 and buried 15/10/1849. Daniel married also a Ellen Terry born Birmingham died 1887 who was previously married to a James Gale, Emmanuel Jeavons Fellows b. 1807 died 22/4/1889 married a Elizabeth Thomas c. 13/11/1808 died 5/9/1846 on 28/10/1827 Kingswinford. Emmanuel appears also to have married a Ruth Lavender on 5/4/1847 who died 4/8/1869 .Ruth may have been married previously to a Unknown King., David Jeavons Fellows b. 1812 , John Jeavons Fellows b.1814 , d. 1872 married Rosannah Tromans b. 1819 Dudley

Now found complete data base of Jeavons family with links to Tromans/Parsons/Fellows/Hadley/Johnson/Cole etc. all over bcc.
It will take me ages to fill in all the connections/detail but one problem I can see is that already on bcc the protocol has been used as calling the Jeavons Fellows ( on my files) as Fellows Jeavons on bcc. I feel we should use protocol as is but with note that sometimes on marriage and census records the opposite protocol is used ?

That sounds very reasonable, mumbles, as it would be a pain to change them all on BCC.
Some mistakes are too much fun

the reason is that fellow jeavons is the way it is , is because elizabeth fellows married a john jeavons so fellows would be an extra name taken as the male surname is jeavons unless the is a contractual arangement between the families stating that it,s a double barrel surname and its to be written jeavons - fellows. Then i asume protacall say surnames jeavons and fellows as been added on ?

On the marriage look up I did there was this note...

Marriage look up
16 Sept 1839 St Thomas Dudley
-John Jeavons alias Fellows- of full age- bach- Furnaceman-Dudley Wood Parish of Dudley-John Jeavons alias Fellows-Farmer
-Rosanna Tromans- of full age-spinster- Dudley Wood-Benjamin Tromans- Tracemaker
Banns
X of both
Wit- Sarah Smith and Daniel Jeavons

I agree with Pete and think it should be fellows Jeavons....but please feel free to add your notes in notes with your name attached.
But we will keep it with Fellows Jeavons I think - where it is fellows Jeavons
obviously where it is Jeavons we keep that name as that.

Nl. I have inserted one generation of Fellows Jeavons down from John & Elizabeth Parsons and inserted all the original connections plus a lot more info.
A number of questions arise before I go to next generation and so on.:-
a) My records show Hannah Tromans married a Phillip Hobbis as well as Andrew Fellows Jeavons so this if researched further may answer question raised in notes
b) Emanuel Fellows Jeavons on Holly & peterd shows as being married to Ruth Unknown and Elizabeth Unknown. I have Ruth as Ruth Lavender previously married to a Unknown King ( this tiess up with Census records). Also Elizabeth was Elizabeth Thomas c.13/11/1808 died 5/9/1846 ( buried St.Giles 8/9/1846) married 28/10/1827 Kingswinford. Since you do not want me to delete the Elizabeth Unknown or the Ruth Unknown can you insert or permit me.
c) It would be interesting to research James Fellows Jeavons further as he died in Coal Pit a year after his first wife died and two months after he married his second wife.
As I insert next generation you will see this Jeavons family have numerous second marriages

this lot is losing me.....

ok...

a) Hannah had a Simeon Tromans but no father was on that marriage cert (for simeon) so I dont think there was one....if you know what I mean.
So I think she was a Tromans...need to see if she is widower on that marriage to Jeavons......She marries Andrew Jeavons in 1826
Simeon was born 1825- doesnt know his father- bit odd if betw 1825 -1826 she as a Tromans marries a Tromans...cos Simeon is Tromans

Rite re answering this one .....no problem... any UNKNOWNS guys please do just add the surname etc if you know it!
therefore Delete the word unknown

Obviously if you were just deleting/changing the christian name then that is a no no and check with me....as it may need to be investigated further for clarification.
but adding to the word unknown or rather replacing it is brilliant....YES!

Go ahead Mumbles on that one....

Found this about Phillip Hobbis
1861 Census
Phillip Hobbies Widow aged 47 born. Bromsgrove Worcs. Paver Paviol
Eliza Trow servant aged 45
Eli Hobbies son aged 15 born Birmingham, Warks. Paver Paviol
Moses Trow aged 9 Boarder

Peartree Street , Rowley Regis

1871 Census
Phillip Hobbis aged 57 born. Bromsgrove Worcs. Road Labouer
Hannah Hobbis aged 65 born Rowley Regis
Eli Hobbis aged 25 born Birmingham, Warks. Road Labourer

Spring Meadow Rowley Regis

1881 Census
Phillip Hobbis aged 66 born. Bromsgrove Worcs. Parish Road Labourer
Hannah Hobbis aged 75 born Rowley Regis
Eli Hobbis aged 36 born Birmingham, Warks. Parish Road Labourer
Issac Siddaway aged 11 born Rowley Regis

4, Spring Meadow Rowley Regis
If Hannah is Hannah Tromans who married Andrew Fellows Jeavons marriage would have taken place c. 1861 to 1871.
and may show her father as a Trowmans and Hannah as Hannah Jeavons

It probably would be worth looking up to see if connected to other Tromans in RR
