Linell kindly looked this marriage up

St Johns Halesowen.

James Nock signed bach otp Ann Freeman X sp otp. Witnesses were Richard Fiddian and Thomas Willetts

I think she is deffo an Ann
but so frustrating no marriage.
Those earlier bapts were I think RRegis but only 1811? that the info on occup is on
so even looking at them wont tell us much.
and then there is a huge gap until ann maria

I still think a death cert would be a good idea for James ...should be a nailer or nail weigher.
They might not have married

anyone any ideas? :(

Hi there,
very kind of Linell to look this up so thanks Linell....
NL; Do you think that the following may be children of my James and Ann ? : -

John Nock : Christening:
16 MAR 1806 Rowley Regis

Benjamin Nock : Christening:
12 AUG 1810 Rowley Regis

Samuel Nock : Christening:
09 AUG 1807 Rowley Regis

William Nock : Christening:
22 JUL 1804 Rowley Regis
Death: 26 OCT 1806

All have parents James and Ann (Anne)
Isn't R.R not far from Dudley ? plus this would plug the gap between the marriage date and the first born we think being Anne Maria in 1815

What do ya reckon ?

kind regards

Could be but don't know how you would check other than marriages and fathers on marr after 1837 or witnesses pre 1837
cos on bapts before 1811 no occup or abode

Have had a look for marriage of James Nock in St Giles PRs from 1806-1820. No luck. There is one for Isaiah Nock and Leah Cutler 13 Nov 1815.

Looked up bpts of John, Benjamin, Samuel and William. All it gives is the dates you already have and s. of Jas. and Ann Nock. For Williams burial 26 Oct 1806 there is a P. after Ann's name. Wouldn't mean 'parent' would it as it already says s. of.

Hi nocky just flagging this with you to see where we are up to and what info do you need?

If the bapt info not sure you will gain much more that that which is on already from the IGI it wasnt until 1813 that the registers changed and abode and occup of father was added.

So unless otherwise advised this will be moved to archived section
within 24 hrs
It can easily be brought back for further discussion.
