Does that mean Thomas Clift is the stepfather of David and Father of Mary Hannah

Thanks for the information. Some of the sources have appeared as hints on Ancestry and I did notice that the 1901 census is misleading as it looks like there are a lot of family members living at 140 but if you look closely everyone from Lottie Williams down are at number 141. It seems a bit strange as she is listed as daughter even though she has a different surname and is only a teenager.
