Does anybody know what this badge is?
It apparently belonged to my Grandfather (Frank Arthur Fellows 1903-1977), and there is a photo of him with this badge on his blazer - he looks as though he is in cricket flannels. We know he played cricket for GKN in Darlaston (he worked at GKN as a metallurgist), and possibly for other amateur clubs.
I've tried googling the motto, as well as the image. My uncle has tried various archives, all without success.
Thanks for any help.

If you go to history website.co.uk and the Darlaston link from there, it has a logo with the things that look like pretzels, so something Darlaston linked is my guess

Re: Help needed to identify badge.
According to my uncle the pretzels are Staffordshire knots, which I confirmed via Google (that's being born in the era of the West Midlands as a county for you!). So they confirm we're talking about the old county of Staffs.
My Grandfather was lived in Wednesbury and West Bromwich, and worked in Darlaston, so I'm thinking those are the areas of interest.

Ha ha! Teach me to look at things on a phone! Is the Chevron gold and green or black? And it is an open book beneath?

Re: Help needed to identify badge.
I've only got photos, as the badge is with my uncle. I'm not sure about the colour of the chevron, it looks like dirty cream and black. It's definitely an open book underneath, done in metallic threads.
The motto is "Aga Quid Agas" which apparently means "do what you're doing".

Re: Help needed to identify badge.
The badge is now identified!
It's from the County Technical College in Wednesbury (possibly ca 1950's), where we know my Grandfather trained as a metallurgist. He was almost certainly there prior to 1950s as he started work at what became GKN when he left school. He was a qualified metallurgist running a metallurgy lab prior to ww2.
The image is from a 1950s prospectus, but in the 1920s the college apparently used a different emblem.
The archives at Sandwell came up with the goods, so thanks to them.
