I am new to this game and am just getting started. I am looking for my family, BROOKS from the Canterbury area of Kent and my wife's family, EVANS from South Wales.
I want to get signed up for one of the online Genealogy programs but it is difficult to know which on is best, can you give any advice on this.

Welcome to the forum. If you take a look at the Software sub-forum of General Discussion section and the Snug you'll find discussions, reports etc on the various possibilities. Public Libraries often have computers with access to some of the software hich is worth checking out before you start paying. There are also free sites out there, FreeBMD, FreeReg etc. which you might take a look at.
