This makes me feel stoopid....

Postby mickwood » Thu Sep 12, 2013 6:34 am

Hi folks,

Just thought I'd say hi as I'm pretty sure I'll be asking LOTS of questions!! I'm a complete newby to this family tree and as the title says, at this point it makes me feel stupid trying to find out relatives, what sources of information can be found where and how cross referencing that info 'proves' that you have the right person!? My mind doesn't work like that! Luckily a friend has started me off so at least I'm not starting with a blank page!

I'm off to have a look through the threads and hopefully find out what sources give what information.

Cheers

Mick

Welcome to the forum, if you want help by being shown what to do place your queries in the Beginners section, if you'ld like someone else to do the work for you then the General section is where to begin, unless you have specific queries regarding Black Country/Military etc.

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.
