Hi!

Postby Trillian711 » Tue Jul 16, 2013 8:45 pm

Another newbie here! I started my research a few years ago but for various reasons it got put to one side so I've just started up again. I've got a fair bit of info about my maternal grandfather's branch (DUNNING, TATLOW, MILLWARD, RUSSON). I'm currently working on my maternal grandmother's branch (HUDSON, LEWIS, WARD, JOHNSON) which is proving to be somewhat trickier due to various ancestors not getting married. Family stories has these ancestors being of Irish and Romany heritage (although how true this is remains to be seen) and most certainly moving around a lot. My Gran has told me that they used to "go wherever the work was" and that they used to work on farms and canal boats. There's even a story of my great-great-grandmother being a bare back rider in the circus which I'd love to find some proof of if it is true.

Anyway, I'm off to have a nosey around now and maybe post a few questions.

Tasha
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is that little voice at the end of the day saying "I'll try again tomorrow".

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.
