Oldbury's Hadleys

Postby oldburyhadley » Fri Mar 29, 2013 7:43 pm

Hello
I may have been a member for sometime but have never played an active role on the site. Now that I have got around to it I am learning how to work the site. My interests at to mo are as the title suggests. I was born in West Brom but lived in oldbury for forty years before moving out of the are. I am looking forward to the chats and info.

Hello Ian - lovely to have you on board. Your web site looks good - you might want to put the photo request for the Bird in Hand on here. I suppose you have already asked Tony if he has a copy, I can't see one on his website yet, but he if he has one I'm sure he won't mind sharing.

Hi again Ian

I've been spending a couple of days adding marriages where I can to BCC from the tons of copies I have. Coincidentally, I have just come across one which may be one of your's. Can't find them on my Jones family, which is where I connect to your Hadley's, but if you don't already have it, here are the details :

24 May 1908, Christchurch, Oldbury
Harry Hadley, 23, B, Groom, 644 Vicarage Road, Father Thomas Hadley, Fitter
Edith Bradley, 24, Spinster, 144, Vicarage Road, Father John Bradley, Gardener
Wit : Florence Bradley and Harry Penn

Maggie :-)

Hi Auntie Em,
I don't seem to recognise them at the mo but my other relative is connected to the Hadleys in Langley. They may be one of his. He is a cooper as well
