Help please

Slightly different to most of you here as I'm tracing a house history rather than my family but I wonder if any of you have any ideas.
According to the 1901 census this house does not exist (was built in 1860's)
Known as Pontshonnorton Road (Or Norton Bridge Road, depending on which language you are using) I have found Norton Road in the right area (pontypridd/cilfynydd/norton bridge) on the census and believe that is the road, only problem is number 49 - 61 do not exist on the census (1-48 and 62 - 140 do) a friend vaguely remembers his grandmother refering to the general area of these numbers as 'Police Row', but can't find any references to Police anything
